Calling All Bloggers! The 7 Things Blog Tour!

Hi guys, hope 2013 is treating you well so far If you are a blogger and you are reading this I wonder if I might enlist your help! You see I’m putting together a Blog Tour for my newly released book, “The 7 Things That Made Me Genuinely & Irreversibly Happy: And How They Can Do The Same For You”. Basically I am looking for between 5 and 10 bloggers to host either an interview with me, a review of the book or a guest post by me on their blog during the latter half of January. Let’s look at how this works in a little more detail:

Option 1: An interview - Interviews can be conducted via email, or via skype for a more dynamic, conversational feel, and then typed up and edited for your blog. We can talk about anything you like as long as we give the book a little plug at some stage. You do not need to have read the book in order to offer an interview

Option 2: A Book Review - In order to write and post a review you will need had to have read the book. To this end I’ll send you a free copy of the e-book for you to read in preparation of the review. Be honest in your review and have fun!

Option 3: Guest Post - This one’s really easy, simply allow me to write some original content, or choose a relevant excerpt from the book for you to then post on your blog, with a short description of the book (which you can take from the book’s Amazon page) and links to where it can be purchased.

Those are the three types of posts that I will be including in the tour. I’ll be trying to get a balance of all three types, so if I get 3 or 4 people who want guest posts early on, I’ll then only be looking for reviews and interviews after that, and so on. Let’s take a look at the potential benefits to you and your blog:

Increased Exposure - I don’t have the busiest blog in the world, I only started back in November last year, but I will be reblogging every single blog tour post as well as sharing every post through my social media networks. Hopefully this will send some people over to your blog that otherwise might not have found you. Secondly the increased number of links to your blog from other blogs and social media will increase your search engine rankings and meta data, making your blog more discoverable.

A Free E-Book - Everyone who takes part in the blog tour will receive a free copy of the e-book in whatever format they choose. I’m sorry to those who already bought the book and who might also be interested in taking part in the blog tour. I can offer you a free copy of the e-book for my first book “Greeks to Geeks: Practical Stoicism in the 21st Century” instead if you’d like!

More Content For Your Blog - If you decide to take part in the 7 Things blog tour with an interview, review or guest post that’s more quality content for your blog and for your readers. You also get to see how a blog tour works in case it is something you’d like to try yourself one day!

Making Contact - If you want to take part in the tour then you’ll need to let me know. First of all leave a comment down below so I know you’re interested and then send me an email to rohan.healy@beardfirepublishing.com. Once we’re in email contact we can work out the finer details.

Working Out The Details - We will need to establish what kind of content you want to publish, be it an interview,
review or guest post. The other important thing that needs to be discussed is the date of posting. I will be conducting things so that for the 5 to 10 posts that will be part of the tour, one will be posted each day for the duration of the tour during the second part of January. So once we’re in touch privately we will work out what kind of content you want to publish, how we will go about it and when it will be released on your blog.
