No problem, thanks for the awesome contribution, Rohan! You can guest post again any time you like, I promise…uh…I mean we can probably arrange it, barring unforeseen circumstances.
Hey, that really DOES sound better. It’s working already!
Haha, I can agree to that
All the best Jen!
Rohan.
That was a very cool post, Rohan!
Haha funny, it echoed the thoughts I was thinking the other day concerning making promises. And if it’s really reasonable to give them, or they actually do more harm to people’s relationships than good.
It’s difficult sometimes to say no to people if they are asking you for a favor and saying you are the only one who can do it best
And yet, it’s still better to say “I’ll try and do my best”, without trying to seem a hero, than assuring the people you’ll deliver in time no matter what, and then get them disappointed and seem a lamer ))
The often problem however is that even a vague supposition like “i’ll try to make it”, people tend to take as a promise..:)
Giving promises is actually stressful, it puts you in the state of anxiety from the moment you make it and until you deliver!
Really, it’s interesting, I was just pondering on promises headache myself and then saw your post ) It was a great tip!
Hehe, you’re psychic It’s true what you say, that even if you say “I’ll do my best” someone can still think it’s a promise, but that would be their mistake.
If we make it clear that we will do our best to adhere to what we’ve agreed to then that is all we can do, the words and actions of the other person are not out responsibly
Also when we make an agreement, instead of a promise, we have the option to change our mind if something comes up, to communicate and negotiate, instead of being stuck in the rigid confines of a promise.
Thanks for the lovely comment Sofia, I knew you would like this one
Take care, all the best!
Rohan.
You know, it’s really amazing how we sometimes think on one particular subject and then find just the wisest piece of advice we actually needed to hear on the matter!
That happens to me all the time, and now that i finishing reading your book, i understood that it really all works within the law of abundance and attraction!
That is totally true about the people we attract as well!
Within a couple of months of blogging and writing publicly, I actually met more like-minded ppl than ever, and read/heard more wonderful, strikingly insightful wisdoms on a daily basis than i ever did before!
I actually was never a particular fan of that well marketer Secret/Law of attraction thing )
But the way you described it in your book was the most fun, descriptive and catchy version of attraction law i’ve read by now, really!
Btw i’ll be done with a review today! Will get back to you in some hours
Have a great day!
I’m the same Sofia, I don’t like “The Secret”, it’s far too mystical, plus it blames us too much for the miseries in our life, which is true to an extent, however when it get’s used to explain something like a Tsunami that kills thousands because of their “negative thinking” then I think it becomes ridiculous, and not very helpful at all!
The laws of abundance and attraction are much simpler than that
Me too! I’ve met so many cool people in the last few months, it’s been really fantastic
All the best Sofia!
Rohan.
Agree!
Oki i’m getting back to the review now and will be done in a short while
Have a great day!
That’s great, thanks Sofia! Feel free to put it out whenever you are ready. If you post it on your blog I will reblog it tomorrow
You too, have a lovely day It’s just started snowing here!
Rohan.
Snowing, cool! Ours melted already
Sure, i’ll post today and then will add it on my blog
Talk soon
Hi Rohan
I really enjoyed your post about promises. I don’t make them or at least think I dont most of the time. Its true sometimes people take it upon themselves to say you promised when you haven’t. I cannot even promise to myself never to eat chocolate again … but I always do… so that just explains how reliable a promise is! lol….
Thanx for popping by my blog…just started and trying to fill my day up with something more interesting since leaving my job.
It’s great getting in touch with like minded people. I have stacks of poetry and songs written but never done anything with them as I always put it off for another day… but now I’m cleaning off the cobwebs. Should you ever need some input in some songs I would love to collaborate with some writing. I unfortunatly cannot sing at all due to damaged voice box but I think I sound fantastic when the music is really loud in my car! lol…

Thanks for the lovely comment Haha, yeah I try not to make promises with myself either, especially ones regarding chocolate
Yes, blogging is fantastic, a great way to share your thoughts and connect.
That’s a really pity about your singing voice, sorry to hear about that! Well as long as you can still have fun singing along that’s not too bad haha
Yeah I had a look at some of your poetry, it’s very nice! I’m focused on my books and blogging at the moment, but maybe when I get back into recording we can work something out
You take care and thanks for stopping by!
All the best
Rohan.
Loved the post!
