Calling All Bloggers! The Gyaros Blog Tour 2013!

Gyaros The Mice Eat Iron Cover smallIn January 2013 my brother and I were sitting around chatting when I said casually ”Wouldn’t it be cool to write a sci fi novel”. Now, two and a half months later, it’s all but finished. Over 100,000 words of epic space travelling drama and action packed madness is only weeks from release as an eBook, and then later as a print version. Gyaros: Book One – The Mice Eat Iron is to be released on the 4th of April 2013 for $2.99!

I must give a special thanks to my friend and fellow author Athena Brady, without whom the Gyaros project would not have been the same. Thanks to her generous contribution over on the Ro-nations page we were able to purchase the artwork and put together this awesome book cover! So thank you Athena, every contribution helps so much in getting these works out there :)

Fellow bloggers this is where you come in. The blog tour will begin on the second week of April (Monday the 8th) and continue for as many days as it takes! Back in January, thanks to the efforts of 8 incredible bloggers, we managed to pull off a successful 10 day blog tour for The 7 Things That Made Me Genuinely & Irreversibly Happy. Let’s see if we can beat that!

So let’s take a look now at how you can help out. There are three options available to choose from:

book3Option 1: Book Review - Pretty self explanatory. I’ll send you an advance copy of the eBook, read it, type up your honest review and post it on your blog. Voila!

Option 2: Author Interview - Interview myself and Alex. Ask anything you like, but make sure there is some reference to the book. Interviews are done via email.

Option 3: Host An Excerpt - This one’s easy peasy, simply create a post that includes a short write up about the book (genre, what it’s about, price, where to buy etc) and a sample chapter from the book!

If this picture doesn’t convince you to join the blog tour I’m not sure what will.

And there you have it! I’ll be trying to get a balance of all three types so get in quick if there’s one particular option you really want. Now let’s have a look at what’s in it for you and your blog:

  • Everyone who participates in the blog tour gets a free copy of the eBook.
  • I will reblog your blog tour post on my blog sending my readers to you.
  • The number of links going to and from your post will be great for SEO, increasing your blogs discoverability.
  • You’ll become a nicer person by helping out and taking part in this awesome blog tour*

* May not actually make you nicer.

If you are interested in doing a post on your blog for the tour leave me a comment here and send me an email to rohan.healy@beardfirepublishing.com

WARNING: Gyaros: Book One – The Mice Eat Iron is a “new adult” action/sci fi/horror story. It contains strong violence, course language and adult themes. If you are sensitive to any of these you may find the book too much and might want to give this book a miss. Fair warning :)

I really can’t wait for the release of this book! It’s the first fiction novel I’ve ever been involved in writing which makes me incredibly excited :) Take care everyone and let me know if you want to take part in the blog tour!

All the best.

Rohan.

  1. Congrats, Rohan! The book sounds very exciting and I’m very happy for you! I will be happy to participate in your blog tour, we’ll discuss by email what the best way to do so would be.
    Hugs,
    Lada :)

  2. Count me in, Rohan! Really looking forward to reading the rest of the story. I’d be delighted to do a review and interview. Send me a message whenever you’re ready to arrange something :)

I’m still in awe that in the space of 3 months you decided to write a novel, did it and published it!! WOW. It was such a long agonising process for me writing my books. You’ve given me hope and inspiration ;D

    • Cool Rory, thanks that would be great :) I’ll be in touch when I have the finished book to send you!

Haha, yeah I know, we’ve spent a few hours every day just blasting through it. The great thing about working with someone else is when one person get’s stuck the other can usually help push on or come up with a solution!

At the end of the day though it’s not a race, a story is finished when it’s finished :)

      Take care mate, talk soon!

      Rohan.

      • Fantastic, look forward to hearing from you and reading the rest :) It must be nice having someone to spark with and generate ideas and inspiration. It’s something I may try sometime. With my two books, they were very much journeys into myself and I don’t think I could have done that with anyone else. Writing them was a very solitary process! :P

Hope you having a great weekend and speak soon :)

  3. Hi Rohan, no thanks necessary I was pleased to help you after all the work you put into the song. I am thinking of making Author Interviews regular feature on my blog so I would be happy to interview you both. As your brother has not had a review before I am happy to review the book as well. However it will be either June or July as I am booked up until June and waiting on some people sending their books over. The cover looks fabulous well done both and I am sure your book will be a roaring sucess,

    • That’s great Athena, thanks :) That’s fine, I understand you have a back log of reviews so June or July is no problem at all ;)

You take care and I’ll send you on the ebook when it’s done!

      All the best :)

      Rohan.

  5. You’re such a chameleon. That picture is so trippy, I love it.

Congratulations ! From the first 5 chapters the book seems pretty darn cool. You left with such a cliff hanger also I could club you upside the head for that. Count me in for the tour, let me know what you need, up for all 3 options really (:

  6. Congratulations, Rohan! I love the cover (I’m a cover freak) :D I’ll be going a long with this depending on the time I have. The house is cramping my style at the moment ;)

    • Thanks Dianne! Oh me too, I fell in love with this image when I saw it, it just fit the story so well, then Alex and I added the titles. That would be fantastic Dianne :) If you’re pressed for time an excerpt guest post would be great! Whatever works for you :)

      Take care, talk soon!

      Rohan.

  7. Hullo, Rohan!

First, CONGRATS ON YOUR BOOK!!! :D

I’m new here, but this seems like a fun thing to do. Action/sci fi/horror story is definitely my taste. So if it’s still up, I’d gladly do Option 1 (and I get to devour a new book so really, it’s not like I’m not getting the better part of the deal here). I’ll be knocking on your inbox in a minute. ;)

    Jenny
